Mainspring is pleased to announce the expansion of its executive team, welcoming Neil Clark as Chief Operating Officer. Neil joins from Easynet, an Equistone and LDC backed private equity business where he was Managing Director of the UK Business Markets division. During Neil’s time, the business grew revenues from £85m to more than £200m per annum.
Mainspring’s CEO, Stephen Geddes, previously worked with Neil when Stephen was at Pi Capital and Neil was CEO of Red-M, a Pi Capital portfolio company. Stephen explained: “Having worked with Neil in the past, I was thrilled when the opportunity arose to bring him into our team. The decision to hire a COO was fuelled by a desire to increase the depth of experience within the executive team. Neil has this in spades.”
Neil, who has held CFO, COO and CEO roles in a number of venture capital- backed businesses, said: “It’s great to join Stephen and the team at Mainspring, who are trusted by established private equity and venture capital brands and new managers alike. I relish the opportunity to help with Mainspring’s next phase of growth. With many well regarded existing customers we will be working to make Mainspring the fund administrator of choice for UK private equity and venture capital fund managers.”
